To Embrace the Incomprehensible

If you undertake to embrace and hold forth the gift of music you are in for a ride that may consume you.

Beezwax Records LLC has been undertaking to do this for 67 years. It is both exhilarating and life-changing.

Fortunately, for Beezwax Records, we can take a step back and focus upon only recorded music, with all of its audacity and subjectivity, because the first audio recording known to man made use of beeswax.

But it was not music. It was a spoken voice, which, when you think about it, is no less precious.

Even though Beezwax Records is limiting itself to recorded music, and limiting itself in other ways, it could very easily happen that it be consumed.

What I mean is, to handle it with proper care could wear one out.

You are about to witness two chapters in the history of a brass, jazz, and blues record label based out of Elkhart, Indiana, the band instrument capital of the world.

I happen to be the owner of Beezwax Records LLC and can tell you straight up: the first chapter is a sight to be hold, chock full of stories with a bottom line that is decidedly negative.

But you know what? The second chapter will be decidedly positive as long as the Creator allows Beezwax Records to develop.

Tomorrow I will, d.v., post here what I call the "Vision Statement" for Beezwax Records LLC.

It has been shared with our artists and a few others. Now we'll share it with the world.

Be assured, Beezwax Records LLC is not flush with money, fame, and fortune. If that's what it were all about we're in the wrong business.

But music is a business at times. When it is, it needs to be special and honorable.

Ethical. Excellent. Embracing.

Those are the core principles that will guide Beezwax Records through both chapters of its history.

If you've read this far, get ready to witness a redefinition and refinement of recorded music as you know it.

The pieces are all in place, and to my chagrin, it is this little, arrogant, totally unworthy soul who is in the middle of it.
